How was Kylie? I have also been going gardening mad. We have a whopping garden that we struggle to maintain but I chose a tiny area to work on as I start to wander in the next season of my life. I am quite new to gardening but I am loving learning. I loved being in your dream garden for a little while. Hope you are enjoying the respite from the GCSEs this week!

You’d think, but there are revision workshops it’s a battle to get him to go to. Nearly there. I’ve tried explaining he should grab all the help he can get now before it isn’t free anymore and that when you’re older it’s sometimes hundreds of pounds for a couple sentence critique of a thing!

Kylie was fabulous, got last minute tickets and wound up with amazing seats. The setlist was a total dream too. It will probably never beat Aphrodite or Showgirl, but they were a special period in time I think, for concerts in general. I think things are so expensive to put on now that they all feel a bit scaled back.

Hope you’re having a good half term? X

I am enjoying the day not being split into two, the school day doesn't suit my flow. Also my daughter is calmer, so my nervous system is too.

Concerts are so expensive these days, that expectations are so high. But I can imagine Kylie never disappointing.

I suppose it's because they are having to learn. It's all they have ever known. It is going to blow their mind one day when they discover (hopefully) that learning is so much fun!

This was such a lovely read! Oudolf planting swathes are magnificent indeed but recreating that on a minuscule scale sounds so wonderful too. Do you like Erigeron flowers? They feel like tiny meadows to me. I can’t wait to see and read more about your garden 🌱

Ooooooh, love that. I have one planted in the pots on the steps, one in the new bed and going to put a third somewhere else. We went to an old garden that it was leaking out of every crack and step and I fell so in love with it. It’s like a living illustration of a galaxy! Am now trying to grow it everywhere. It’s gorgeous, isn’t it

Ahh yesss, that sounds gorgeous, I love love how Erigeron floods all the nooks and crannies in walls and paving like an explosion of petals

This is so inspiring! Yes to taking steps and leaning in! So funny, my post this week was about dreams... must be something in the air. Thank you for bringing it into the real world in such a gorgeous way!

Thank you for your really lovely words.

Yes, just ends up that way sometimes doesn’t it? Ideas wandering around seeking places to rest and they end up with multiple people, bit like cats and homes.
