Thank you Vanessa. It has been helpful in so many ways and I’d encourage anyone to try it.

I really started taking notice of the little things during lockdown. And when you start looking, the joy in the every day is everywhere.

I now hear birdsong above most other sounds, for instance. And I know when a little robin is singing to me. It's magical.

Lovely post.

Thank you Clare.

Yes, once you start to notice things it’s like turning the contrast up isn’t it.

It's surprising how much you missed beforehand too.

Brilliant! I am reading a book that really hones in on this … Little Stories Of Your LIfe. Highly recommend it…it has made my eyes open a bit wider and my focus much clearer. Also just love the photography as well!

Thank you. Is that Laura Pashby? I’ll give it a look. As a designer I only ever tried to draw inspiration from things that weren’t design so that my work didn’t end up a faded facsimile, I’m trying to do the same with writing, but it’s difficult to learn and grow without drawing on and learning from other written work. It feels more personal and less imitable, written word, than imagery though. X

Yes ... Laura Pashby. I am really enjoying it! have you read it? All of your points are so valid, but I guess at the end of the day, our art is an extension of the compilation of things we see, do, and speak/hear! So much talent out there...I am amazed! Have a wonderful afternoon...enjoyed chatting!
