It’s been a while since we last caught up.

I’m not going to do that long and rambling thing of where I’ve been*, you’re here for the playlist, right?

This one is inspired by both road trips and staying home in the summer sun. Days headed out to the beach or spent pottering around the house / garden. Mooching over the moors to a perfect picnic spot or heading into the city for a taste of that stifling heat that is both oppressive and invigorating all at once.

Going with the road trip nostalgia and a car radio cassette player. Hard to believe people used to steal these so often they were built with removable fronts!

Summer Sundaes. Spelling pun intentional.

I hope you enjoy it and it can soundtrack what’s left of your summer. This weekend is forecast to be a hot one, a last hurrah of the heated days I think, but we never really know anymore with how unpredictable the weather is do we?

As always, the mix comes in at or under an hour and a half (because that’s all you can fit on a C-90 tape and I’m old-school about the idea if not the delivery vehicle of the thing).

* And in case you’re not just here for the playlist - Taylor Swift in Edinburgh, the beach, a garden, paddling in the rivers that flow down from the moors, my dad’s simultaneous 75th and 1st birthday, a micro festival in north Wales and fending off a lot of dust from house renovations in between as well as dealing with all the health fallout from “Too Much Fun”.
